Abstract
estudiantes.
The present research work was developed to determine the relation between video games, inattention and emotional functioning, being of a quantitative type, correlational level and non-experimental design of a correlational descriptive cross section; where the data was collected through a self-prepared questionnaire validated by expert judgment called “Video games, inattention and emotional functioning questionnaire” in which it was taken to register the use and frequency of video games, inattention and emotional functioning that the students had. This thesis worked with a sample of 169 high school students from a national school. The results indicate that the frequent use of video games is not decisive for the students to increase their inattention, also that the frequent use of video games has a moderate impact on the emotional functioning of the students.
