Abstract
La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación y causalidad entre la procrastinación académica, la adaptación universitaria y el bienestar psicológico en estudiantes de psicología de una universidad nacional de Ica, de II, IV, VI y VIII ciclos. La muestra estuvo conformada por 170 estudiantes (30 varones y 140 mujeres), con edades entre los 16 y 37 años. Este estudio es de nivel descriptivo, de tipo sustantivo y diseño correlacional – causal. Se utilizaron como instrumentos de recolección de datos: la Escala de Procrastinación Académica de Busko, el Cuestionario de Vivencias Académicas (QVA-R) y la Escala de Bienestar Psicológico de Ryff. Los resultados evidenciaron que existe una relación estadísticamente significativa entre la procrastinación académica, la adaptación universitaria y el bienestar psicológico. Se concluye que la adaptación al estudio, la adaptación personal (factores de la adaptación universitaria), el crecimiento personal, la madurez personal y la autoaceptación (factores del bienestar psicológico), son factores predictivos de la procrastinación académica.
The objective of the present research was to determine the relationship and causality between academic procrastination, university adaptation and psychological well-being in psychology students of a national university of Ica, of II, IV, VI and VIII cycles. The sample consisted of 170 students (30 men and 140 women), with ages between 16 and 37 years. This study is descriptive level, substantive type and correlational - causal design. The following were used as data collection instruments: the Busko Academic Procrastination Scale, the Academic Experiences Questionnaire (QVA-R) and the Ryff Psychological Wellbeing Scale. The results showed that there is a statistically significant relationship between academic procrastination, university adaptation and psychological well-being. It is concluded that adaptation to study, personal adaptation (factors of university adaptation), personal growth, personal maturity and self-acceptance (factors of psychological well-being), are predictive factors of academic procrastination.
