Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between anxiety and aggression in adolescents at the secondary level of an educational institution in Chincha. It was used with a non-experimental, cross-sectional and correlation design, evaluating 201 adolescent students (108 [54%] females and 93 [46%] males) in anxiety and aggressiveness with the Lima Anxiety Scale (Lozano-Vargas and Vega-Díenstmait, 2018) and the Premeditated-Impulsive Aggressiveness Questionnaire (Andreu, 2010). From the inferential analysis for the contrast of the hypotheses, positive, moderate (rs ≥ .50) and statistically significant (p < 0.05) correlations were found between the study variables in the total sample and according to sex. However, no statistically significant differences in aggression and anxiety were found between males and females. The findings are discussed, and recommendations are made.
