Abstract
The purpose of this research was to find the relationship that exists in visual motor coordination and pre-writing in children of 5 and 6 years of the Initial Level of an Educational Institution in Apata. Also, have the level of information from teachers and parents on activities of visual-motor coordination and pre-writing. The sample consisted of 33 children and to obtain more information on the variables, 33 parents and 6 teachers were considered. The sample is non probabilistic for descriptive research, the design is correlational and simple. The observation and survey technique was used. Likewise, four evaluation instruments were applied: Frostings’ Visual Perception Test, Condemarín's 5 and 6-year Writing Test, a rating scale for teachers, and a questionnaire for parents. The validity has been given by different investigations that have used the same instruments and the reliability by internal consistency of different studies. With regard to data processing, the SPSS and Pearson's contingency coefficient were used. It was concluded that there is a statistically significant relationship between visual-motor coordination and prewriting. Also, that the vast majority of the teachers almost never and regularly carry out activities of visual-motor coordination and pre-writing. On the other hand, a higher percentage of parents are unaware of visual-motor coordination and pre-writing activities.
