Abstract
This research was designed to determine the incidence of factors on school performance: “quality of teaching practice”, prerequisites and intellectual ability of students in relation to the results of the census evaluation area math second grade primary education level of a public educational institution of private management. The research was supported in the theoretical framework that involves various authors of recognized academic prestige where it focuses the various theories related to the factors of school performance and was established to its effects to those of greater significance in the achievements of learning methods based on the theories of the significant learning of Ausubel and Gagné. It was considered for factor "quality of teaching practice" the standards folowing: curriculum planning, teaching and learning processes, mathematics, use and conservation of teaching resources, time management for learning, organization and classroom climate; established by the Ministry of Education, Office Viceministerial Institutional Management, General Management Quality Management School (2014). On the other hand, in the "prerequisites of students" it took into consideration the endnotes in the area of math officially reflected in the final evaluation document of first grade level in 2013. "Intellectual capacity of students" was operationalized through the test of pre primary mental maturity of california, the same as is of factorial character and is based on that intelligence consists of several mental factors such as: memory, spatial relationships, logical and numerical reasoning, and verbal concepts. The result of the investigation, has shown that with girls in the first grades of primary level, variables of a personal nature (intellectual capacity and prerequisites) affect with greater prominence in relation to the variable quality of the teaching practice. Likewise, it is suggested to take into account other variables inherent to a greater or lesser extent on the results of the school performance. In the next chapters of this thesis it will be developed in more detail the issue of this investigation.
