Abstract
La difusión de la información ha cambiado con la digitalización de la información, considerando que en la actualidad son las audiencias las generadoras de contenidos. De allí que las fake news impactan en los públicos de forma significativa, especialmente, en la percepción de los adultos mayores. Por ello, la presente investigación tiene como objetivo principal determinar la percepción de los adultos mayores, del Centro Integral del Adulto Mayor (CIAM) del distrito de La Molina, sobre el fenómeno de las fake news en la red social Facebook, en el contexto de la pandemia del Covid-19. Esta investigación tuvo un enfoque cualitativo, de tipo descriptivo y diseño fenomenológico. Los participantes fueron 22 adultos mayores (hombres y mujeres) entre 65 y 70 años como edad promedio. El instrumento utilizado fue un cuestionario con escala de Likert. Entre los resultados se apreció que la mayoría de los adultos mayores tiene diversas percepciones acerca de las Fake News. Sin embargo, se concluyó que los adultos mayores distinguían las noticias falsas y la desinformación que circulaban en el contexto del Covid-19.
The dissemination of information has changed with the digitization of information, considering that currently audiences are the generators of content. Hence, the fake news impacts audiences significantly, especially the perception of older adults. Therefore, the main objective of this research is to determine the perception of older adults on (CIAM) (Centro Integral del Adulto Mayor), placed on La Molina district, about fake news phenomenon on Facebook social network, in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. This research had a qualitative approach, descriptive type, and phenomenological design. 22 older adults were the participants (men and women) between 65 and 70 years old as an average. The instrument used was a questionnaire with a Likert scale. Among the results, it was noted that most of them have different perceptions about Fake News.
