Abstract
Stress is defined as a state that combines physical and emotional tension, emerging as a response to stimuli or pressure. When this phenomenon reaches excessive levels or is not managed appropriately, it can lead to complications such as mental fatigue, irritability, anxiety and psychosomatic disorders. The latter include headaches, insomnia, muscle tension, digestive difficulties, heart problems, dizziness, among others. Currently, a state of pandemic caused by Covid-19 has been overcome, which as a consequence has generated a higher percentage of sick people without being treated. This is how stress arose as a result of concern about the economic situation, the instability of the country, unemployment; without knowing where to go or go to be treated. That is why, faced with the demand and importance of mental health, the conception of health has undergone a significant and positive transformation. Individuals not only seek to mitigate physical problems, but also seek to improve their quality of life and achieve a balance between physical and mental well-being. This change in focus has led to a notable increase in the acceptance of alternative and complementary medicine, which now has official recognition by the World Health Organization (WHO). Under this concept, we have planned to propose a comprehensive meditation center in Chosica as an architectural project, which will provide us with personalized services that include qualified professional help. Through the comprehensive Mind and Body Meditation Center, the aim is to create a specialized center that contains all the techniques and therapies to combat stress, in addition, that has adequate environments, adequate climate, adequate location, adequate professionals and large green areas.
