Abstract

En un país centralizado como el Perú las provincias del interior no han logrado desarrollarse al mismo ritmo que la capital. Un ejemplo de esta situación es Tumbes, una región al norte del Perú que a pesar de contar con amplios recursos para desenvolverse en el sector turismo no ha logrado fructificar su producción. Además de no tener un desarrollo urbano planificado, ni sostenible, que contemple hitos arquitectónicos atrayentes para los turistas en general, tampoco existen normas ambientales que sirvan de apoyo al cuidado del lugar. Este trabajo busca encontrar los principales puntos débiles que ha mermado el desarrollo turístico en Tumbes, así como buscar soluciones alternativas de diseño y construcción que puedan hacerlo más atrayente a los turistas internacionales, sin dejar de lado el sector nacional.

In a centralized country, such as Peru, interior provinces of the country have failed in developing at the same pace as the capital. An example of this situation is Tumbes, a region of northern Peru that despite of having extensive resources to develop in the tourist industry, have not achieved to fructify its production. In addition to the lack of a developed and sustained urban plan, which contemplates the architectural milestones attractive to tourists in general; there are no environmental guidelines that support the wellbeing of the region. This project search to find the major weak targets that have diminished the tourist development in Tumbes, as well as to search alternative solutions of design and construction that can make it more attractive to international tourists, without neglecting national industry.
