Abstract
El presente trabajo de investigación tiene por finalidad conocer la relación entre el lenguaje oral y la comprensión lectora y compararla entre las instituciones educativas con y sin Bachillerato Internacional (BI). Participaron 179 estudiantes de primer grado de primaria con BI (83 niños) y sin BI (96) del distrito de La Molina, Lima metropolitana. Para la recolección de los datos se utilizó la Prueba de Evaluación del Lenguaje Oral (ELO) adaptada por Meléndez (2008) y la Prueba de Comprensión Lectora (ACL 1). Los resultados obtenidos confirmaron que existe una relación estadísticamente significativa entre los componentes del lenguaje oral y la comprensión lectora. También se encontraron diferencias en la relación del aspecto semántico del lenguaje oral y la comprensión lectora, siendo los niños de la institución educativa sin BI los que reportan un coeficiente de correlación mayor.
