Abstract
Un trastorno neurológico en la infancia es la Parálisis Cerebral, es una lesión que se produce durante el periodo de maduración cerebral, puede iniciarse antes, durante o después del nacimiento; uno de los tipos de parálisis cerebral es la diplejía espástica, con una incidencia del 10% al 33% afectando a los miembros inferiores en un grado mayor que los superiores. De tal manera se elabora esta guía de actividades en el área motora gruesa dirigido a padres con niños menores de 12 meses con diagnóstico de diplejía espástica leve, actividades que desarrollaran en el hogar según la edad del niño mes a mes para fortalecer el movimiento, el equilibrio, tono muscular de los miembros inferiores y así lograr su independencia de forma progresiva. El profesional de salud deberá monitorear y observar la actitud de los padres en el manejo adecuado de esta guía para cerciorarse de que las actividades del niño sean correctas y reforzadas en el hogar para así lograr el avance significativo en ellos.
