Abstract
Los estilos de vida en el adulto mayor están relacionados con el nivel de actividad física de esta población, lo cual influye en su estado de salud. El objetivo de esta investigación es identificar la relación entre el nivel de actividad y el estilo de vida del adulto mayor que asistía a un centro integral en Huánuco, 2019. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 135 adultos mayores entre 60 a 74 años de edad de ambos sexos. Para evaluar el nivel de actividad física se utilizó el Cuestionario Internacional de Actividad física (IPAQ – E) y el Test de Pender modificado para evaluar el estilo de vida. Como resultado se obtuvo que el 53,3% de la población estudiada presentó un nivel de actividad física alto, mientras que el 19,3% bajo. El 57% presentó un estilo de vida saludable y el 43% no saludable, sin evidenciarse diferencias significativas entre ambos grupos para las variables de sexo, peso y talla. Finalmente, se concluyó que sí existe una relación media positiva entre el nivel de actividad física con el estilo de vida en el adulto mayor que asiste a un centro integral en Huánuco.
The lifestyles of the elderly are related to the level of physical activity of this population, which influences their state of health.
