Abstract
This study has been carried out with the objective of verifying the relationship that exists between self-regulated learning and self-efficacy in first-cycle university students at a private university in Lima. The study corresponds to the descriptive correlational level, substantive in its descriptive, quantitative modality and has a correlational design. It was made up of 56 university students from the first 3 cycles. The instruments applied were “The Self-Regulation Inventory for Learning (SRLI)” by Lindner and Harris (1992), adapted to the Peruvian context by Durand (2017) and “Specific perceived self-efficacy scale in academic situations” by Palenzuela (1983) and Adapted in 2012 by Domínguez and others for the Peruvian context. The relationship between the variables used has been measured by the Spearman coefficient, resulting in 0.287 and the degree of significance p= 0.032 < 0.05. The result determines that there is a positive relationship between self-regulated learning and self-efficacy in university students in the first cycles of study.
