Abstract
El estudio que se presenta a continuación establece el nivel de conocimiento que poseen los docentes de Educación Básica Especial acerca de las necesidades educativas de los estudiantes con Trastorno por Déficit de Atención e Hiperactividad (TDAH), los cuales presentan una disminución de las funciones ejecutivas, lo cual dificulta el desarrollo de ciertas habilidades como la gestión emocional, la planificación, seguir órdenes, entre otras, asociadas tanto al ámbito familiar como escolar. Por tal razón, es de vital importancia reconocer si los docentes se encuentran capacitados para atender las necesidades educativas y de formación de la población en cuestión. Para ello, el estudio se desarrolló bajo el enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo básico, nivel descriptivo y diseño no experimental. La recolección de datos se realizó en una muestra de 50 docentes de Educación Básica Especial que laboran en centros educativos de Educación Especial. Se administró un cuestionario para medir el conocimiento respecto a características comportamentales de los estudiantes con TDAH y la participación de las familias y docente. Se concluyó que el 100% de los docentes de Educación Básica Especial tienen un nivel de conocimiento alto sobre las necesidades educativas de estudiantes que presentan TDAH.
The study presented below was aimed at establishing the level of knowledge that special basic education teachers have about the educational needs of students with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), who present a decrease in executive functions that hinder the development of certain skills such as emotional management, planning, following orders, among many other tasks, associated with both the family and school areas, which is why it is vitally important to recognize if teachers are trained to meet your educational and training needs. For this, the study was developed under the quantitative approach, basic type, descriptive level and non-experimental design, collecting data on a sample of 30 special education teachers who work in special education centers, they were administered a questionnaire to measure knowledge regarding behavioral characteristics of students with ADHD and family and teacher participation. It was concluded that 100% of the Special Basic Education teachers have a high level of knowledge about the educational needs of students with ADHD.
