Abstract
La presente investigación tiene como objetivo principal determinar la relación existente entre las dimensiones del autoconcepto y la ansiedad ante exámenes en 138 estudiantes, que oscilan entre 12 a 14 años de edad, y cursan el 1° y 2° año de educación secundaria de una institución educativa privada de la región Ica, Perú. El estudio es de tipo no experimental y de diseño descriptivocorrelacional. Para medir las variables se emplearon dos instrumentos: el Cuestionario de Autoconcepto forma 5 (AF-5) de García y Musitu y el Inventario de Autoevaluación frente a exámenes (IDASE) de Bauermeister y Spielberger. Los resultados obtenidos mostraron una relación estadísticamente significativa entre, cada uno, de los componentes del autoconcepto y el índice general de la ansiedad ante exámenes. A su vez, se halló diferencias significativas entre varones y mujeres en el componente emocional, familiar y físico del autoconcepto; sin embargo, no se halló diferencias significativas, en relación a la ansiedad ante exámenes, según el sexo.
The main objective of this research is to determine the relationship between the dimensions of self-concept and test anxiety in 138 students, ranging from 12 to 14 years of age, and in the 1st and 2nd year of secondary education at an institution private educational institution in the Ica region, Peru.
